Goldsnow, You left out the space program. It may have created a lot of jobs but what has it cost over the last X number of years. It has created a lot of by-product, but in the end what is the end product? Propaganda. Why do we have to go out and mess up another planet when we havn't been able to deal with the problems on this one. I could also go on about the corralation between the launching of space craft and the appeance of the holes in the ozone layer. Not a popular subject. What we have been talking about on the page for a long time is appearances of prosperity. Now we are getting down to the nitty-gritty. Politicians can tarnish their imigages, the country and the dollar - but they can't tarnish gold. Regards,
