OT summer time reminiscence:

I was having lunch with my son on the U of Mn campus today. Watching the people waking by it occurred to me that every single one was wearing shots (as were we). I told my son that when I was a boy nobody ever wore shorts. As I recall boys wore blue jeans all year long. And adult men NEVER wore shorts (in public). He looked at me like I was nut but I think that's true.

Seems to me people started wearing shorts in the early 70's. My dad started wearing shorts in his 50s. His legs had never seen sunlight in 50 years and seem to have lost their ability to tan. He had a tan face and arms and these absurdly glowing white legs.

Is that the way you guys remember it or was I having a stroke?
