And why did that happen? That was because the Jews in Palestine turned to terrorism.They attacked Arabs, British and Jews seen as not zealous enough. They threw bombs into markets, sent letter bombs even planted bombs in London.and Rome. They kidnapped two British officers, killed them and planted bombs on their bodies.

So yeah, the Brits weren't wild about rewarding terrorists. But you think they were obligated to.
