We are deliberating, and the decision to be made is whether we would allow friends to put on a show once we have enough worthy paintings in the 'collection'.

On the one hand it would be satisfying to the coconut and perhaps her parents, increase her self confidence, tee-up encouragement etc etc,

On the other hand we do not want the coconut to think commercial.

So it may be likely we would not permit 'show' until much later. If so, the cost of 'biao' adds up quickly, and the cost of actual framing much more. Never mind the space / storage issue, at hong kong's per sft cost.

We have a baby grand piano in the home, and I occasionally remind my wife of the cost allocation to keep the piano that requires perhaps 100+ sft to station. Rid of the piano does not seem to be an option my wife would consider ... kindly.

But yes, the overall cost of raising kids is certainly a lot higher then I was mentally prepared for. Can go less or even inexpensive, but if the resources are actually available, ... tough to get wife's agreement to cut back on the kids, even though it can certainly be argued that at times less is more. Just do not know.
