BC, what a crock. The bombs brought a quicker end to the war.

I feel bad for the hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians who either died or suffered as a result of the bombs.

But to pretend that Japan was already "suing for peace" at the time is to ignore decades of history involving the brutality of that regime. No one, especially in THE most cruel and brutal war ever, had the luxury of assuming that Imperial Japan was going to surrender without one last fight on their own homeland.
