WSJ Yahoo Taps Netflix VP for CIO Post Mike Kail to Lead Internet Pioneer's IT, Data Center Operations By ANNA PRIOR Aug. 6, 2014 11:59 a.m. ET Yahoo Inc. said on Wednesday that Netflix Inc. vice president Mike Kail has joined the company as chief information officer. In his new role, Mr. Kail will lead Yahoo's IT and data center operations, the company said. Mr. Kail most recently was vice president of IT operations at Netflix, and prior to that worked in a similar role at software company Attensity, where he was responsible for the Americas data center operations team, according to Yahoo. "The strength of our technical infrastructure is critical as we aim to deliver the best possible user and advertiser experiences," said Yahoo Chief Executive Marissa Mayer. Mr. Kail will report to Ms. Mayer.
