VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Aug. 6, 2014) - Fairmont Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:FMR) ("Fairmont") is pleased to announce that it has received permits from the Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs (MFFP) for the Buttercup "BEX 1270" claim. These permits allow for the site preparation including tree removal as well as road construction to the site.

Fairmont also wishes to provide an update on the main permit. WSP Canada Inc. ( www.wspgroup.com/en/WSP-Canada/), formerly Genivar, has been engaged and is currently undertaking additional site, hydrological and biological work requested by the Ministère du Développement durable, de l'Environnement et des Parcs (MDDEP) (formerly the Ministère du Développement durable, de l'Environnement et de la Lutte aux changements climatiques (MDDELCC)). The work is well underway and expected to be completed by the end of August, 2014.

As well, Fairmont has engaged Sécuritech Forêt ( www.groupesecuritech.com) to complete a road traffic and safety assessment and report on the secondary access road to the Buttercup deposit. This report will include, but is not limited to, visibility and obstructions, existing and recommended signage and general road condition.

"We are very happy to have hit two key milestones in receiving the permits for tree removal and road construction. Although things have not moved as quickly as anticipated, Fairmont continues to move forward and we expect to have the final permit required shortly after the completion of the work by WSP," stated Michael Dehn, Fairmont's President and CEO.
