KGO began carrying Bob Brinker's Moneytalk in 1986-87 and that is when I began listening to him. I subscribed to Marketimer soon after that. I was a subscriber when the the 1987 market crash hit. Brinker was clueless about it, just like he was the 2008-09 crash.

When he sent me a renewal notice, I wrote and told him that I saw no reason to subscribe after that big miss.

That was before the internet (for me), so unless you subscribed, there was no way to know what Brinker was covering up in those days -- or know that he was covering up. So it came as a big surprise to me when I found out that Brinker had gone to cash soon after the crash and stayed there while the market climbed....

So the one time that he went to 100% cash, it was a big mistake!
