To the contrary, he seemed to poo poo timing market stating that the long term dollar-cost-averaging investor buys more shares when the markets correct, He poked fun at pundits like Elaine Gazarelli and others appearing on Louis Ruckyser's Wall Street Week who appeared to warn investors to get out of the market at certain times.

Very interesting PETE.

I suspected that might be the case.

It would be fascinating to find out what caused him to change his mind about market timing.

And then to take the giant leap of becoming a market timer himself.

And all that is involved with becoming a market timer: coming up with "a timing Model", "timing indicators", making market calls that impact huge number of people's lives in a big way.

That goes way way beyond "educating people about the market" on the radio and in the newsletter.

There are a huge numbers of people who anxiously or eagerly check Marketimer each month for "the timing signal" that will cause them to sell or buy the stock market.

The whole thing has totally morphed from "education" to following a guru. If he sent out a "Special Subscriber's Bulletin" tomorrow saying to "sell the market, we are going to have a bear market, sell now," tons of subscribers would loyally follow that advice.
