Pat, making another $50 per unit will be tough that would put margins upto 7.5%. Gateway is already beating DELL in prices. DELL's low inventory system can be a problem if parts become short in supply. SUN is talking about trouble finding enough sheet metal to biuld their boxes. Yes DELL's cost/unit is critical any mistakes in their operations will drasticly reduce profits. BTW do you know who DELL buys it's SDRAM from?
