Yup,

Remember when GM talked the city of Los Angeles to rip up it's electric trolly tracks??

They are now putting them back in service!

Seattle is building more electric rail lines in the city along with getting new electric trollies.

You should see how fast the electric trollies are going up the steep hills here in Seattle.

They are sports cars compared to the diesel powered ones that can barely climb the hills.

Four cities in the U.S. have rubber tired trollies and two of them are on the West Coast.

Seattle and San Francisco.

Seattle's are powered with 100% renewable hydro power and the new trollies will be able to "regenerate" for braking. Plus they are quiet and non polluting.

Seattlites love their trollies!

They will not be hybrid but will be pure electric with battery storage onboard so they can go a few miles off the lines:
