<<< It's only about job creation >>>

Yes, yes, that is what I'm arguing - nothing more nothing less. Let me try to get my point across by using a different angle. So lets look at the trending of job creation or job lost during a President.

In Carters case the jobs created went straight down. From a percentage bases, the decrease has to be the worst of any President in modern times. In Reagans case the creation of jobs goes up in a big way - for sure the best on a percentage bases of any President. Sooooooo, at the end of a Presidency - when the numbers mean the most because they reflect the term of the Presidency, Carters numbers are the worst of any modern President and Reagans are the best of any President. Since Truman, only Kennedy and Nixon also had numbers higher at the end of their term - and both men left prematurely. To make the argument Krugman did is dishonest as it gets - and that is no kitchen sink - it is just the facts.
