SCott, Paul, could we declare a truce please: -
I have traded Novell on and off the past year, sometimes sucessfully, sometimes not, and have followed this thread for most of that time. I consider NOVL a quality company struggling to regain its focus after disasterous forays into Wordperfect and failure to be imaginative and enterprising in developing its established base in networking. The cleaning of the house, and the bringing in of Schmidt is the best thing that i have seen the company done. While there probably was some creative accounting in the last quarters earnings report, it was an attempt to give an honest picture of what is going on.
Which brings me to the developing personal exchange between you two:. You both seem very knowledgeable about NOVL and networking, yet the attacking nature of the recent correspondence is counter-productive for all concerned. I have seen too many threads on SI destroyed or side-tracked by such attacks. So PLEASE !!! for the sake of the thread, declare a truce and "politely disagree" if necessary but PLEASE !!! continue to educate non-techies like myself who are following NOVL hoping the company can make a turnaround. thank you. Larry
