Thanks for the fine thread! On of the most common and annoying errors I run across is the misuse of the words "lose" and "loose". I can understand the typos, the misuse of contractions, bad punctuation, etc. However, when someone starts complaining about "loosing" money I suddenly start hearing the soundtrack from Deliverance running through my mind. (Yeow! Is a soundtrack really running through my mind, or do I just have a problem with mixed metaphors?)
