The concept sounds doable to me.......isn't it somewhat similar to the vacuum tubes you see at drive thru banks? Not all that similar. What it does is suck in the air in front of the capsule and exhausts it down to create an air bearing and behind. It uses a linear induction motor to move. The reduced air pressure in front means less air friction. Yeah, short hops would be the way to go at first. A Beaumont to Houston or Galveston to Houston might be better.
