Comparing the violence in the middle east to the political disagreements and yes, even political stalemate here in the US is sheer stupidity. That's why Obama is a divisive President.
Conservative Americans are what makes the US diverse. It is you liberals who are unable to tolerate diversity.
How is what's happening here like the ME? Fine I will tell you.
Conservative Americans as you call them............and more and more, I hardly think of you all as Americans.........refuse to negotiate, refuse to compromise, absolutely refuse to respect this president whom you've disparaged from the first day he took office. There are undertones of racism and religious hatred to your commentary. You all ridicule the lower classes, attributing their lack of success to laziness. Little of your proposals make sense and that is only when you deign to make them which is rare. You pine for an America that no longer exists and no longer makes sense. Your Pols spend 95% of their time looking for ways to undermine the president and make him look foolish. Under your tutelage, Congress has become a laughing stock with its lowest approval rating in history. You all have become the uncle that no one wants at a family dinner.
As a consequence of Rs dysfunction, the country is horribly divided. Little of any import gets done. Issues that would advance this country economically and technologically are never discussed. Consequently, those of us in the more progressive parts of the country are moving ahead and ignoring what you all are doing. In essence, there are now two Americas in a country that is the most divided since the Civil War era. And all we hear from you all is a FU to the rest of the country.
In fact you're response to the POTUS's comments is exactly what's wrong with Conservative Americans. Your attitude is two parts entitled and one part victimhood. Rarely are your responses constructive..........and rarely are they attempts to bridge the gap between us. Increasingly the attitude in the rest of America........has become a resounding FU back to you. I don't think you all have any idea how much you are despised and ridiculed.......and what's even worse, I don't think you care.
The rest of this country is more than willing to tolerate diversity........in fact, many of us encourage it. Its you who disparage diversity....spit in its face. What you want is to rule...........and you are not equipped to rule. You claim to be lovers of the Constitution but that's only when it supports your ideology which is so thick with hatred and bile, its infuriating. If you want to be tolerated, start acting like Americans and not Taliban lite. |
