No, you don't ask your opponents what their cards are, but when the game is over, if you want to learn, you ask you opponent why they did what they did, what though processes went into it and what options did they not exercise. In doing so, you understand your opponents for future hands.

Knowing your opponent, their motivations, their jobs, restrictions and limitations in their work, etc. will defiantely help.
