Much of the loss so far this year is from write-downs of properties/closures of mines. These are therefore one-time events rather than continuing losses. In fact, by closing down the money-losing operations and focusing on those that can at least cover their cash costs, the company is saving precious liquidity. If RYO comes back to $1.00 U.S., I for one will jump all over it. With some tax loss selling from now 'til end of year, perhaps I'll get lucky (but I doubt the price will get that low again).
