New Gentner President.....
SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Gentner Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: GTNR) today announced that Frances M. Flood has assumed the role of President of the company. As President, Ms. Flood will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the company.
Ms. Flood joined the organization as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in October, 1996, and has been instrumental in the revitalization of the organization. Since Ms. Flood joined Gentner, the company has experienced a 27% increase in net sales and a return to profitability.
Russell Gentner, former President and CEO, will remain Chairman of the Board and will also pursue other entrepreneurial interests outside the organization. "Gentner Communications has come a long way in seventeen years," states Mr. Gentner. "I am very supportive of passing the company to Fran's leadership. She has worked very hard this past year to make Gentner a success. Her efforts, and those of the many other dedicated Gentner associates, have begun to pay dividends. Ms. Flood has over twenty-three years of experience in change management, product development, marketing and sales culture creation. She has held a variety of positions including Senior Vice President of a large regional bank holding company and founder of an international sales and marketing firm. Prior to joining Gentner, Ms. Flood was an Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Ernst & Young, LLP, an international accounting and consulting firm. While there, she assisted in the sales and marketing efforts of partners and principals across a variety of industries in six locations.
