I'm not sure I can help with KATE. I'd be cautious of expecting the technicals to give you a clear indication of what might transpire tomorrow.

Moves this big and with this size of volume can be hard to gauge. I would tend to let the dust settle and give it 2 or 3 days but that's not what you are asking.

I think that the move tomorrow could be a washout and rebound. I couldn't agree more that a tight stop is very important if the trade moves against you. The low 27s would be the next obvious place on the chart to watch for support but since the stock went from 10 to the 40s in only 2 and a half years, it's hard to say where the next major support area would be. I haven't done a price/volume study and I'd think that would be extremely helpful.

I have been trying to come up to speed on more apparel companies but simply haven't had the time lately to dig into this sector. With apparel being such a fickle segment, it's probably more important to know if the fundamental miss justifies the technical move. If not, then the chart will help a lot more but I don't think there's one right answer when the blow ups are as large as this one.
