If GE will fade, why has'nt ethernet faded??? I believe that you are attempting to compare apples to oranges here by comparing the two. As I posted earlier, ATM is a WAN technology that is implemented from the RBOC's CO all the way to the customer premise equipment. GE is a DATA ONLY technology that is not made to carry voice or video, just straight data. If ATM is so great.....why has it died to the desk top??? If ATM is king of the backbone....why is YURI not making product??? Because....ATM is a WAN technology, it's growth will be the WAN. Ethernet is king of the LAN. MJB
