Not in the least. We know that the Boston Tea Party was an actual historic event and that it's not too hard to find out that today's "Tea Partiers" don't understand what it was about.

We know the difference between the Articles of Confederation and the US Constitution and what happened in the intervening years between the two.

We know what "states' rights" have been used to justify.

We know about how the Republican Party and Democratic Party have both undergone tremendous ideological shifts over the last two centuries.

We know that the economy did not start going south the day Obama was elected.

We know about the Southern Strategy.

We know what Reagan actually did.

We know that Obama has issued fewer executive orders than just about any modern President.

We know what happens every time there's a massive deregulation push on behalf of corporations.

We know that small to moderate tax increases do not kill the economy and that large tax cuts don't help.

We know that taxation is at or near its lowest point since basically the beginning of the 20th Century.

We know that corporate taxation as a share of government revenue is like a quarter of what it was when the economy was at its peak.

We know that income and wealth inequality have become massive, and what happens when they do.

We know that unions have made gigantic strides for the average American and what caused them to rise and fall, and that thefortunes of the average American have risen and fallen with them.

The Tea Party, on the other hand, knows nothing.
