Sowbug, I guess you can understand why I am somewhat concerned with the overall market valuations. Yes, Microsoft has been verrry verrry good to me. I still like it for the long term, but am somewhat leery of 1998. After back-to-back year's of over 50% gains the stock is due for a less robust year. If I use the leap option strategy, my only worry would be missing any appreciation over 160, 170, or 180 for this year depending upon which strike price I select. As you know however, paper gains are realized only when the stock is sold.<gg>
