Kirk,

Someone on Honeybee's blog [j m] has estimated how much Bob Brinker has made from sales of Marketimer.

I think he is so far off.......not even remotely close. Brinker has WAY more subscribers than jm guesses.

Here's what he posted:

j m said...6,217 subscribers @$185 = $1,150,145 per year X 20 years = $23 million.

So jm thinks Brinker has only had 6,217 subscribers, and only for the past 20 years.

I don't think jm realizes that Marketimer has been published a lot longer than 20 years. I don't know the date, but a wild guess would be around the 1987-1988 general timeframe.

But my beef is with his guess of the number of subscribers. With a national radio audience, and a very loyal following, he must have tons of subscribers.

Many callers each week say they have been listening to Moneytalk since Superbowl Sunday 1986, and many more have been listening for at least 20 years.

Sometime in the last 12 months, you posted a guess as to the number of subscribers he might have had in the past.

What's your guess on his past number of subscribers and present number of subscribers?

I know, it's just a guess.........
