Because they're misinformed - knowledge does not belong to any one race/culture. They have been raised by trashy, violent, disrespectful pop culture. Their is nothing different about a black mind than any other race - in the debate of nature versus nurture to believe they are genetically different is pure racism. They are in fact the product of their environment - sustained and promoted by the government programs created to help them.

Why is it that cities like chicago - run by liberals (claiming to want to help) have for decades failed miserably to lift the lot of so many black youth year after year? And this in a nearly 100% black environment and culture without overt racism keeping them down - the police are black, the government is black, the teachers are black - what's wrong in those cities?

First of all, Chicago is hardly a benign environment for blacks. Chicago is a highly segregated city, ruled by whites. Its center is overwhelmingly white and whites are the predominate working population in that center. The overall city has performed fairly poorly economically for the past 20 years. Its schools are a mess..........many have broken windows, poor to nonexistent heating, leaky roofs. They lack the tech equipment found in suburban schools. By 10th grade, 50% of black males have dropped out. The black neighborhoods are ruled by gangs who deal in drugs. Death by gun is a common way for black males to die. Chicago's housing projects were so badly maintained they had to be torn down. There is little about which to be proud.

Why you think anyone.............whites, blacks, Latinos, Asians...............would thrive in such an environment is beyond me. And the gov't programs you want to blame barely keep people above the survival level.
