Art Prices Skyrocket: Women at Work and at Home

"Women of the Kolkhoz," by an unknown Ukrainian artist. Nine women, bathed in the bright light of clean air, head out to their work in the fields, carrying their farm implements. The social aspect of working together is shown as being more important than the work itself. Obviously, the scene is a romantic depiction of the hard life working the land. Oil on canvas (125cm x 225cm). Anne Visser Collection.
