Well, today there is the shortfall, plus the TSA which is another 10B. So, suppose it is 30B/year for about 850B RPMs comes to 3.5c/RPM for air transportation.

How much in subsidies do you think the SFO/LA route would require to keep its doors open, assuming a reasonable (3% maybe) ROI on the 100B or more that would be required to build it? At least 3B/year, probably more. $300/RPM, minimum.

Now tell me how that makes any sense under any circumstances, please.
