I don't think '98 is going to be good for the techs, that is all I am saying. I also don't believe the analyst assessment of things or else you wouldn't get the surprises such as EFII that you are getting on a regular basis now. If they are that wrong about high visability companies, how wrong are they going to be about '98? I think 1st half of '98 is going to look like hell in the techs. At that point, you might see a tremendous buying opportunity with smoke clearing in the techs for the 2nd half. You want to buy in the smoke, but it is just starting to get smokey. Look at the box-makers today; they like Cisco were the obvious shorts since they are soooooo overvalued and run up with not enough profit-taking. The disk drive makers will get killed along with the box makers. WDC will just keep on going lower and lower. If you hold WDC, you are just riding down into deeper and deeper losses. I am not in much, just 50 shares at the moment in WDC. I am trying to figure when I would want to buy into WDC and I don't see it being anytime soon since it might bounce, but it isn't going anywhere for a long time. It could be October '98 before it gets back to over 17. WDC when it dies just sits dead for the longest of time.
