Most fundamentalist Christians reject science and without science you can't have much learning. Half of the folks in my State think the world is 6,000 years old. Hard to reason with fundamentalists, whether they are Jews, Christians, Muslims or any other group that believes that they are the true believers and that the rest of us are doomed.
