It's a analogy - there are reasons black youth aspire to basketball.
It's a an inner city sport where they live in most cases, it's popular in the culture and a ticket to success and riches.

Being a police officer is not considered a good job in current black culture - most of the popular rap music talks about fighting with police, running from them and killing them. Not joining up and taking down bad guys and drug dealers.

So while you claim genetics explains one disparity - I'd claim culture explains the other. For proof just look at the looters and protesters signs and chants - don't shoot with their hands up. There is no respect for the law - and especially for police in that city.

What would be the campaign slogan for replacing all the police - elect black cops so they let you get away with anything?
