The number is not important - you shoot until the threat is eliminated or run out of ammo.

......yes....and he might have.......6 shots hit ....supposedly one shot in the car.........if 4 shots only hit arm, there could easily be several more that missed entirely. Maybe he fired several more. Do we know what he was firing?
