Nothing was trumped up ... Clinton's CIA head was retained by Bush and he told Bush the same things he told the Democrats. WMD's were a "slam dunk." Gore would have invaded Iraq just like Bush did.

It's not like there weren't a LOT of warnings in the summer of 2001. You mean like the attacks on US targets during the Clinton administration, that we did nothing effective about? Clinton even messed up an offer by Sudan to turn OBL over to the US and he passed up numerous attempts to take him out after he'd retreated to Afghanistan. BTW Clinton has admitted all this.
