(NYSE MKT: ETAK) ("Elephant Talk" or "the Company"), a global provider of Software Defined Network Architecture (ET Software DNA® 2.0) platforms and cyber security solutions, today announced that it has successfully migrated the next phase of Grupo Iusacell ("Iusacell") existing subscribers in Mexico onto its dedicated platform. Elephant Talk plans further migrations over the next two quarters, as Iusacell completes its transition by rolling out new services for its Mobile Network Operator ("MNO") and Mobile Virtual Network Operator ("MVNO") clients in the Mexican market.

"With this migration completed we now have approximately 1.75 million Iusacell subscribers migrated onto our platform," commented Steven van der Velden, Chairman and CEO of Elephant Talk. "Based on the first three successful migrations we have completed, we are confident that we will remain on course with our planned migration of approximately five million pre-paid GSM subscribers and almost three million other Iusacell subscribers."
Martin Zuurbier, Chief Technology Officer of Elephant Talk, added, "In close cooperation with Iusacell, we have successfully migrated another group of Iusacell subscribers without a single SIM-module having to be changed. This performance confirms our confidence in completing all migrations as planned."
Elephant Talk's ET Software DNA® 2.0 platform incorporates virtualized software technologies and a hosted, outsourced cloud-based architecture that enables MNOs to manage all of their core network and service management functions in a single software solution. We believe it is the only single software platform designed to support a capacity of over 10 million mobile subscribers and seamlessly provisioning of 2G/2,5G/3G/4G (LTE) and CDMA standards. While being hosted on the Elephant Talk platform, mobile carriers can significantly reduce capital investments in new hardware, eliminate the use of legacy software and hardware as well as reduce network operating and maintenance costs while benefiting from greatly improved flexibility and the ability to quickly deploy new services. Elephant Talk's ET Software DNA® 2.0 platform is currently providing services to MNOs in four different countries. |
