Continuing with the concept of subject logos ...

Does posting a copyrighted/trademarked corporate logo infringe on the logo owner's rights?

Perhaps "somebody" should harvest the corporate logos on SI's logo gallery, then contact each of those corporations to let them know their corporate logo is being used without authorization. That could be considered an unlawful use of the corporation's Intellectual Property (IP).

Does anybody know somebody with extensive software development experience who is available to automate such a process?

Of course, if somebody automated that process, the legal team at some of those corporations would spend time researching the situation to determine whether they thought there was any harm being done to their corporate image. And, if so, they might send a nice "informational" note to SI to request them to cease and desist from using their corporate identity in the subject headers where their company is being referenced in a negative manner.

They certainly wouldn't want their customers (and shareholders) to think they condone such negative activities relating to their company.

On the other hand, just think how much better utilized that automation person's time would be, if that person's input could be used as a positive resource in the improvement of the SI experience.

There sure are a lot of different ways to look at this whole logo issue, ain't here?

Sure is a pretty day.
