The poster recently known as "SIer formerly known as Joe B." wrote a post that was up on the "Welcome New SI Members" thread for about 1/2 hour. The post had some "interesting" text in it, followed by this request:

"PLEASE ban me forever without removing this post. THANK YOU!"

So far, he doesn't appear to have been banned forever.

But, they removed the post.

Perhaps there was a miscommunication somewhere along the line?

Note: They did, however, lock his account so he can't post anymore. Perhaps that's the same as being banned forever? I don't know. I suspected all his posts might disappear with a lifetime ban, but they're still there. Except for the "interesting" one, that is.

I screen-captured the post in question ... just in case somebody might need it for historical purposes. In case you're wondering how I captured a post that had been removed ... well, a magician never reveals his secrets.

Sure is a pretty day.
