Yeah the beans were the topic of discussion again. Our annual family camping trip was a couple of weeks ago and we caught up with the family again this weekend. My sister says her beans never turn out as well as my wife's but maybe it's that someone else's cooking is always better LOL. In their conversation my wife says that she pre-boils her beans before starting the batch, and also she sometimes has been known to cook the beans for longer than what the recipe calls for (a couple hours more in the slow cooker maybe?).
