Chris, just call me Mark ;) *laugh*

2 problems people dont really understand about Asia is due to currency devaluations there:

(1) Their products become oh so much cheaper here.. but they NEED to export to survive. So the US needs to hurt itself to help the former Asian tigers survive. What I mean by hurt itself is US companies competing with Asian companies will get rocked.. watch car sales next year. With the Yen getting smashed they can lower prices here (Honda, Toyota, etc) .. but in a backwards way its ok in the long run because in a global economy you dont want such weakness anywhere.. but keep it in mind. US multinationals are going to have trouble selling their wares anywhere in the world, not to mention troubles competiting domestically.

(2) This is a far reaching problem and not likely but deflation. If the currencies get to such a point... well lets just say hope that scenario doesnt play out =)

I knew all my econ classes would come in handy for something.
Ok back to work now that Im turning into a bear *laugh*

Chris, I recommend reading Business Week.. its very informative and well worth the cost. Lots of great articles, both on companies, regions, sectors, etc. And easy to read and understand. Pick up a copy and see what u think. Intel is on the cover this week.
