Are you that naive to think that when the growth rate diminishes the multiple you will pay for that growth rate won't diminish by a similar amount: most institutional investors will consider paying a 40 multiple for a 40% grower and a 25 multiple for a 25% grower: gist: the target for a stock changes despite no change in rating.

Analysts are lemings just like investors: very rarely will they get fired if they are "within the consensus range" and they want to maintain open lines of communication with the company(ies) they follow. Consider, hey Michael (or CFO at said company) I just changed my rating to a sell, how's business...click...buzzzzzzzz.

The analyst is now listening to a dialtone with no access to the company.

Don't kid yourself, look at the numbers and the outflow of money...not just in DELL but other names as well.

Look at the Nasdaq 100: NDX. Looks like a good bye point!

Not trying to single you out but its important to realize the market is right, opinions are not.
