while i did pen <<anything that makes the russians feel surrounded is okay>>, i did so per my explication, <<speaking as one resident in freedom hong kong>>

i do not think the surrounding action is a great idea for the surrounders, because the surroundee (i) never surrenders, and (ii) can pulverise everything everywhere at any time

i do not believe america would go to nuclear war w/ russia should russia off any of the eu nation states

as and whenever events go nuclear, it would be every nation states for itself and no one else

especially as the done deed is illustrative-enough of consequences of carrying forward the selective culling

am guessing that is why some small nation states aim to have some minimum stockpile of launch-ready nukes just to make the feasibility study of would-be attackers more challenging

i also believe that should any of the larger nuke powers go nuke war, the war would essentially be on auto-pilot and attempt to take out all - there would be no tolerance for neutrals in a nuke war and it would be literally all-in until and unless all quits, and that would be when some exemplary smaller nation states are off-ed
