Hello - I am a new follower of compaq, and find all the last postings
interesting, if not confusing.

I am no pro - but are there not some great short-term gains to be made
in this stock at this price level?

A. Component pieces are mainly from Asia.
B. Computers are one of the mainstays for the US consumers this
Xmas and Compaq seems to be a leader in this area.
C. The people and firms doing the down-grading all in all are the same
ones doing the buying and then the hyping.

I would welcome all insights to my humble comments.
