While consumers haven’t widely embraced mobile wallets from Google and a consortium of wireless carriers, industry analysts and executives believe Apple has a shot at making the concept work.
The question is: What would Apple provide that the others have not? They could certainly do something better, such as an auto-selecting wallet that chooses the optimal rewards for you, but will they do this or will they actually take a step back and make it more expensive to use mobile payments? We should know soon.
