Nike had the right to match any deal to Mr. Durant as part of his previous deal. During a meeting in Los Angeles on Saturday between Nike officials and Roc Nation Sports, Jay Z's agency that counts Mr. Durant as its premier basketball client, Nike exceeded the Under Armour offer.
