I agree with your general point about the perception of Apple, but it must be said that the timing of this supposed iCloud hack of celebrity photos is terrible. I can guarantee we are going to get a ton of articles highlighting the risks of mobile security over the next week...just in time for Apple to ask people to trust them that their mobile payments platform is safe.
