Yes, there is a "Fair Use" doctrine, but putting a corporate logo on a discussion forum where the company is being referenced in a negative way could be considered infringing on the logo owner's rights.

I think the whole SI logo "feature" sux for a variety of basic appearance and performance considerations, but the logo ownership issue could result in legal entanglement.

Perhaps not, but is it worth the risk?

Just think how much time and SI corporate resources would be expended in simply responding to an inquiry from one of those companies who think their image has been damaged. SI's legal team (if any) would have to get involved. Are their services free? I think not.

Caution, curves ahead.

Now, about that performance ...
