Britain and its Nato allies will agree this week on an emergency force of up to 5,000 troops ready to deploy within 48 hours in response to Russia's aggression in Ukraine.

These are the same leaders who decided to follow the American winger's lead and impose austerity on their countries when the great recession hit. Six years later, their countries teeter between recession and growth.
