Good points but to me we have problems both at the expanding top and expanding bottom. We had many poor people 50 years ago but they didn't have as many entertainment options as today<ng>.. The biggest difference is most worked for an honest wage and didn't feel as poor or having the deck stacked against them like today where cost rises far exceed incomes.. Blow up of two parent households also hurts enormously.. Far too many disfunctional men are better off in jail and women free from these men are incentivized to stay at home collecting rather than go to work..
