People who avoid carbohydrates and eat more fat, even saturated fat, lose more body fat and have fewer cardiovascular risks than people who follow the low-fat diet that health authorities have favored for decades, a major new study shows.

It's getting harder and harder to believe the nutrition studies that come out.

There must be something terribly wrong with the way they conduct research. It must not be objective, scientific, valid, reliable. It can't be, because the various studies totally contradict each other!

How long will it be before another 'major study' totally contradicts this one, and says go for very low fat, and high carbohydrates?

They need to look at the research process very carefully. Not just for this study....for all of them. They are clearly doing something very wrong.

The various nutrition studies can only agree on one thing: they all seem to gang up on trans fats.

Maybe the next major nutrition study will 'prove' that a high trans fat diet is really the healthiest, LOL.

On one end we have the McDougall Diet/China Study/PCRM: Physicians' Committee For Responsible Medicine/Dean Ornish/Caldwell Esselstyn diets of super low fat, high complex carb diet, plant based

On the other end we have the Paleo Diet/Atkins Diet/South Beach

And everything in between.

I don't think this current study has resolved anything at all.
