india is a complex along economic, social, political, ethnic, religious, and caste dimensions complexity is fragile by definition and rule i had heretofore figured india to be less susceptible to wot-wat-what-not because its large religious minorities were not ill treated and thus present no cause / rally point my alarm got upped a notch when i first saw the article of a few days ago along this thread speaking of hindu nationalism (as opposed to india nationalism) let us continue to watch & brief indonesia and malaysia do not seem to be breeding ground for extremism, and i suppose that could simply be that no one local is picking on the moslem majority, whereas thailand and the philippines do have albeit a 'small' issue of incubating extremism and that could simply be that the moslems in philippines and thailand are more likely to be picked on than those of indonesia and malaysia the general modulating factor in indonesia and malaysia could be that there are economic activities going on 'embraced' by the moslem majority
