Duke, More Trivia from a few years ago. Dick Tracy Hand-held portable fingerprint devices were in fact develpoded both by IDX and DBII......( DBII's device was a prototype and never reached production phase. I believe they were called SQUID ( Sequential Unit Identification Device ) DBII's stock was trading in the $ 14 range and I thought I had really screwed up buying IDX around $ 1.75 !! hehehe..... Sunnyvalle also had a model ready for production as they had thought markets for Police Cruisers had arrived. Several compaines which now produce RADAR...Alcohol....monitors might still be interested in this technology which would require the infrastructure ( Satellite uplink ) and incorporate a direct link to regional AFIS systems state wide. I plan to speak with my (non-commission members ) spy network in Cailifonia and will try to get an update for the thread ASAP. &&&.... cheers
