My friend, the CEO of MVAC systems discovered this story about Jack the Ripper.. Excellent example of conducting the ultimate in cold case investigations.. What caught his attention is the author/investigator used a cruder version of Wet Vacuum DNA sampling (Unfortunately not M-VAC, which would have been far more efficient, had the investigator known about it) to obtain the "Ripper's" DNA from a piece of fabric proven to have been found at the scene of one of the murders. 120 years later and DNA (mitochrondrial DNA) solved the crime of the century!! This just shows how effective wet vacuuming for DNA sampling actually is. dailymail.co.uk Btw, we are awaiting results of another major murder investigation that will definitely hit the national news if M-Vac's DNA samples provide the necessary DNA profile of the suspect.
